No need for the standard long-winded explanation, as the concept is simple. But then again, many simple ideas proved to be very lucrative on the Web.
I liberated a selection of local stories corralled in WBUR’s news section and herded them to a Word Press blog. Liberated of the stifling constraints of their former home, their full multimedia glory burns all the brighter.
In the coming months we plan to tear down the plaster and rip out the wiring over at wbur.org. Before we do so, we need to gauge if a Radio With Pictures should be part of the spanking new architecture. So beta testers, please spend some time at the new site. Post your reactions here or there. Be frank. We don’t bruise easily.
And, speaking of redesigns, based on the increased frequency of the programmers’ coffee runs and under-the-breath mutterings, I’d wager that the On Point redesign is well underway. Stay tuned.
