They bought it! The choreography was flawless: a series of smoothly executed pirouettes and fouettés that had ‘em leaping from their chairs with applause.
They all exited the boardroom with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads.
Now I am sweating bullets.
But first, rewind the tape a bit: A spell back I blogged about how Inside Out, WBUR’s superb documentary unit, wants to hear from Middle Class folks feeling pinched. Via Twitter, and this blog, I tried to circulate their email (firstname.lastname@example.org). I was told that a few responses did trickle in but have no way of knowing whether it was the result of my evangelizing.
But after this a.m.’s exquisite display of salesmanship, I am under the gun to deliver something a tad more ambitious. Hence my latest entreaty to you fellow social media travelers.
I managed to talk reporter Anthony Brooks into doing the above video call to action that is now parked on YouTube. Please, oh please, watch it and, if the spirit so moves you, respond. Also, I would be most grateful if you could pass the video link along to someone with a special interest in this topic.
And let me know if there is some other social media that we should mine. I hope to introduce Anthony to the joys of blogging. What else?
You will get a chance to meet Mr. Brooks at our social media gathering tomorrow. Come prepared to have your brains picked fully clean!
See ya at the “Tweet-Up.”
