Yesterday I feasted on lunch and ideas with Andrea Mercado, four feet something inches of spark and spunk, bursting with suggestions on how the station could use social media to strengthen connections with our community of listeners. I found her exuberance exhausting.
And I mean that in a good way.
We are all familiar with the newspaper biz’s dismal state. Radio—at least our little corner of that media pie—is arguably granting us a little more prep time. The brain trust that has coalesced out of our hosted events is helping us divine what is rolling in and when. Our obvious goal is to hop the express, not get run over by it.
I remain more convinced then ever that our expanding community may hold some intriguing answers and invite you to offer some of your own next Thursday evening. See you then?
