The elves in NPR’s digital media division came up with a great holiday treat for listeners who want public radio on their schedule. If you go to the NPR podcast directory, you can now make yourself customized podcasts for your iPod or other device from tons of NPR and station programs.
The full ramifications of empowering listeners to essentially be their own program directors may cause sweat to condense on some brows. Still, the web is all about choice right? And didn’t some luminary once trenchantly observe: “Give the people control and they will use it. Don’t, and you will lose them.”
