Announcing our first-ever design-a-new-Twitter-icon-for-@wbur-contest. (A.k.a. a plaintive cry for help.)
Guidelines: I was never able to locate anything resembling an “official” style guide (presumably under a layer of dust somewhere, perhaps in the bowels of the building next to all those 15-year-old Click ‘n’ Clack T-shirts).
That means you’ll have plenty of room to play around with design, colors, fonts, and whatnot without a style guide to constrict your creative muse. You can incorporate the frequency, 90.9, in the design, or dispense with that Internet-age anachronism altogether and simply depict the call letters … or website url. Your call.
And obviously the icon needs to scale well in Twitter (48 x 48 and 73 x 73).
Now we cut to the chase: “What’s in in for me?” you ask.
The winner, to be chosen two weeks from the day of this posting, shall receive the following:
1) A tour of the station, followed by lunch at a local establishment (on
us me of course).
2) One month of tweeting a link to your website (at least two tweets per weekday).
3) Whatever the hell schwag I can convince marketing to cough up.
Please submit any questions to any of the above as well.
